Digital platforms ‘should be like gas pipes’ says council Chief Executive

“Updates of platforms are seen as painful, time-consuming process” says Sarah Backhouse, Senior Engineer and Product Owner, Jadu Continuum CMS. “If you release very two weeks it becomes an easy, rapid process to apply software to your website”.

The Jadu Universe Continuum CMS automatically releases and applies new features, fixes and security updates each fortnight, avoiding the need for large, disruptive costly upgrades. This means there is no downtime allowing for continuous delivery of digital public services. “I do not want high costs to serve”, says Martin Reeves, Chief Executive of Coventry City Council. “I don’t want roadblocks in the way behind the scenes of digital platforms, including our website. It should be like piping in gas or water to residential or commercial premises”.
