Citizen identity needs for local authority services workshop

19 Apr 2016 @ 1:30 pm - 4:30 pm

Event Navigation

OIX and Warwickshire County Council have successfully run several pilots to look at citizen identity in a local government context: blue badge architecture, attribute exchange and interoperability.

GOV.UK Verify and OIX are now kicking off a discovery piece to build on this work and understand local government needs for citizen identity in a broader variety of contexts.

The objectives of this workshop will be to:

  • outline local authority digital transformation plans and the role of citizen identity
  • understand local authority willingness and readiness to run future pilots with GOV.UK Verify

At this stage, and to April 2016 when the service goes live, GOV.UK Verify’s scope is central government services. This workshop is to help us further understand local authority identity needs to inform the programme’s scope post-live.

Please email govukverify_engagement@digital.cabinet-office.gov.uk to register your interest.

There will, of course, be future opportunities to feed into this work.
