Silicon Abbey, the new network for people in St Albans working or interested in digital, invites you to its first open networking event.
This free event will introduce the power of Open Data as a resource for community organisations and business, and includes:

This is a chance to learn more about this powerful new tool and network with other local digital enthusiasts – whether you’re an avid follower of Twitter or not!

- Dr Julia Glidden, CEO of 21C, consultants to the EU’s Citadel project
Stalls from open data specialists will include:

Silicon Abbey Festival
Silicon Abbey is committed to creating a network of digital enthusiasts in St Albans, using that network to foster local business and community action. It aims to promote the city as a leading digital location, as well as a beautiful cathedral city. This open networking event is part of the first Silicon Abbey Festival.

Open Data learning event for business and community organisations
21c Open Data and the Department for Communities and Local Government are running a free practical learning event on using open data to improve your business or community organisation. This event will take place on Saturday 28 March, 2-4pm, at Oaklands College Discovery Centre, Hatfield Road, St Albans.
