Cornmill-gardens-afterAlmost 5 million people in England are at risk of flooding, a number which, according to the Environment Agency, will increase with climate change.

The campaign advocates three simple steps for the public to be better prepared for flooding: use the Environment Agency’s maps to find out if you’re at risk from flooding; sign up for free flood warnings for your area; and create a personal or business flood plan.

The resources are available via the Environment Agency’s blog, FacebookTwitter (hashtag #floodaware) and YouTube.
