The ‘OFFICIAL in the Cloud‘ events take place in Birmingham, York and London in November and December.

They will provde an opportunity to share experiences and hear from public sector organisations that have made the move to cloud computing, including what prompted the move and experiences along the way.

The events will examine real-life scenarios from the public sector including the DWP, Oxford City Council, Mersey Care NHS Trust, Skills Funding Agency and North Yorkshire and Humber CSU. Attendees will have the opportunity to network and participate in an interactive workshop to identify the main lessons learned from these stories.

Other topics up for discussion will be:

  • What business drivers prompted them to move to the cloud?
  • What steps did they take to ensure success?
  • How did they run the procurement process?
  • What assurances did they put in place to guarantee data security in the cloud?

The events take place on 25 November in Birmingham (morning session), 27 November in York (morning session) and on 2 December in London (afternoon session).
